Hydrolats


Also known as aromatic waters or floral waters, they are byproducts of the plant distillation process. During distillation, water vapour passes through the parts of the plant, extracting the aromatic compounds. It is then condensed into a liquid containing both essential oils and the hydrolat. Hydrolats can be used as facial toners, refreshing sprays or as part of the aqueous phase in the formulation of cosmetic products.

Cellular water, also known as constitutional water, is another category of plant derivatives obtained through a specific process.

The product is extracted from plants using a controlled heating method, which releases their constitutional water.
